Book Trailer: "The Taker" by Alma Katsu

Recommended by my dear friend Chelsey, from Chels & A Book, "The Taker" by Alma Katsu will sweep you off your feet and drop you into a seriously dark story that made her favourites list!  It is definitely NOT your average Y.A. novel, but that is ok every once in a while :)
Watch the book trailer above and see why! Chelsey describes it as "bone-chilling and enthralling -- absolutely captivating". Her review also can be found, here!

  2. Awww Jackie! Thanks for this =). I'm really glad you are so excited to read it. I really hope no one reads it and thinks I'm insane for finding such a gruesome book fantastic lol. I loved it. Also -- I forgot to write in my review.. but it's not YA! However the writing is very clear and beautiful. I just wouldn't recommend putting it in the hands of a 14 year old or anything lol. Can't wait for you to read it =).

  3. @Maja - Thank you so much for dropping by and following! :) I really love your blog and I actually found it through Chelsey posting about a giveaway you're currently hosting! lol. It definitely peaks your interest and I have found my self contemplating ordering it online just so I can get my hands on it sooner than the library! lol. Although as Chelsey said it is NOT a Young Adult novel and I think from her description definitely no 14 year old should be reading it, lol. Still it sounds absolutely chilling so I'll be curious to see what you think once you read it!

@Chelsey - You're so very welcome! I just loved your review and I thought I should do a little post of mine own seeing as I do have a mature followers base and thought perhaps they'd like a little touch of Adult Fiction instead of Young Adult, lol! I am so excited to read it and the book trailer just pumped me up for it! lol. I am definitely contemplating as I said above ordering off of Chapters or somewhere so I can get my hands on it quicker! lol.
