Waiting On Wednesday (29)

WOW! It has been FOREVER since I have done a Waiting on Wednesday but lets me honest there are some AMAZING books coming out in the next few months and I need to share my over enthusiastic excitement with all of you! Now incase we have all forgotten how "Waiting on Wednesday" goes here is how it works:

"Waiting on Wednesday" is a weekly meme hosted by "Breaking the Spine" were bloggers can post their anticipated upcoming publications!

It's as simple as that! This week I've come across a book by Katie McGarry and I CANNOT believe I missed this one in my search for books I want to get this month!

"Pushing The Limits"
by Katie McGarry
Publication Date: July 31, 2012
Publisher: Harlequin Teen

""I won't tell anyone, Echo. I promise." Noah tucked a curl behind my ear. It had been so long since someone touched me like he did. Why did it have to be Noah Hutchins? His dark brown eyes shifted to my covered arms. "You didn't do that-did you? It was done to you?" No one ever asked that question. They stared. They whispered. They laughed. But they never asked.

So wrong for each other...and yet so right.

No one knows what happened the night Echo Emerson went from popular girl with jock boyfriend to gossiped-about outsider with "freaky" scars on her arms. Even Echo can't remember the whole truth of that horrible night. All she knows is that she wants everything to go back to normal. But when Noah Hutchins, the smoking-hot, girl-using loner in the black leather jacket, explodes into her life with his tough attitude and surprising understanding, Echo's world shifts in ways she could never have imagined. They should have nothing in common. And with the secrets they both keep, being together is pretty much
impossible.Yet the crazy attraction between them refuses to go away. And Echo has to ask herself just how far they can push the limits and what she'll risk for the one guy who might teach her how to love again."

Thoughts: What a ride!! The synopsis is all I need to get right into this book! "A riveting and emotional ride!" is exactly what I am going to expect from this upcoming release! Who could say no to a mysterious night, a bad boy and unorhtodox romance that shouldn't even exist but does. The cover is definitely screaming "forbidden", the shadows around the couple, the way they're pushed up against the lockers and the capitalized lettering even, all portray undeniable attraction. With only 6 days away from publication I will be itching to get my hands on a copy ASAP!

Below is a fantastic teaser for all you fans of the PNR genre, and also a wonderful giveaway! ENJOY!

TEASER:

"He’d pulled his dark hair into a short ponytail except for one wavy strand that had pulled loose and blew against his cheek. The streetlight cast enough illumination for her to see the dark lashes fringing blue eyes that reminded her not so much of summer skies or robin’s eggs but of the richness of an arctic sea flowing
over darker depths. They appeared to lighten as he studied her with an intensity that almost robbed her lungs of air. He had a strong jaw, full lips, and a slight cleft in his chin.
If he was a serial killer, he was at least a pretty one.
He cleared his throat. “Are you Dr. Harris?”
Krys caught her breath. Good Lord, what was wrong with her? She’d been practically drooling through a half-open window as though he were Adonis personified. He could be Charles Manson’s separated-at-birth, unidentical twin.
            Except he knew her name."

the Seduction of Phaeton Black:Tour Stop!

Rise & shine fellow obsessors! It's Sunday July 15th and today on the blog we are hosting a tour stop of the seductive PNR upcoming novel "The Seduction of Phaeton Black" by Jillian Stone. Unfortunately I did not recieve my copy to review on time but I still want to give you as much information about the book (& GIVEAWAY!) as possible! Here is a blurb about the story, the cover art (steampunk detective & a devilish sidekick!), and the giveaway info. I hope you all enjoy this intro to the delicious Phaeton Black as much as I did - I personally think you will not be disappointed with this upcoming paranormal romance mixed with pure Sherlock Holmes-esk msytery!

"Hold onto your knickers ladies, Phaeton Black has arrived!"

"He's the man with the magic touch. A master of deduction and other midnight maneuvers, Phaeton Black is Scotland Yard's secret weapon against things that go bump in the night. His prodigious gifts as a paranormal investigator are as legendary as his skills as a lover, his weakness for wicked women as notorious as his affection for absinthe. But when he's asked to hunt down a fanged femme fatale who drains her victims of blood, he walks right into the arms of the most dangerous woman he's ever known."

"She's the devilish Miss Jones. Pressing a knife to his throat and demanding he make love to her––Miss America Jones uses Phaeton as a willing shield against the gang of pirates chasing after her. As dangerous as she is with a derringer tucked in her garter, Miss Jones is not the vampire killer Phaeton is stalking––but she may be just what he needs to crack the case. As the daughter of a Cajun witch, she possess uncanny powers. As a fearless fighter, she can handle anything from Egyptian mummies to Jack the Ripper. But when an ancient evil is unleashed on the world, she could be his only his salvation...or ultimate sacrifice."

A small haul of books this week for you to all enjoy. A bit of a different week of books, a good mixture of fantasy, historical romance, and a graphic novel! I apologize for the closeness of the video though, I have no idea what is going on with my Mac but it seems either the video to audio ratio is off or the video zoomed like 50% in and I haven't a clue how to fix it so bare with this video it is a bit ... off. ENJOY!

Upcoming "Covers to Covet"

One of the most favourite things I look forward too when upcoming books are being released and planned and promoted is the cover reveals! This year so far we have had some FANTASTIC cover reveals for upcoming books and even some already published books that got a face lift. As most of you know I am a huge collector and coveter of covers; I love flowing gowns, romantic lettering, colour, contrasting, bold, simple, edgy - you name it, I'll probably find something I adore about a cover!

In this post thought I have collected, scoured and swooned over some of my post anticipated covers to covet this upcoming summer, and fall months! There are going to be some truly amazing cover's that will catch your eye, draw you in, and captivate you for years to come. I have thought many times of collecting my favourite covers and doing a giant collage of them for a wall in my room, below are definitely cover's that would make the cut!

If these cover's don't capture you're attention than definitely follow the link to their synopsis' and see if the cover's do the story justice.
