This pass week (actually pass month!) I have gotten an odd mixture of books ranging from Adult Romance, to Young Adult Mystery. I have recently been offered the position of "Head Blogger" for the RazOrbill Publishing Company's online website and therefore have privy to some amazing titles! This week and next I will be showing you the load they had given me this past Monday when I went to visit them all. One thing I will say it is an EXCELLENT year for Y.A. books :)
So without further adieu I give you my FIRST Video Blog posting. I hope you'll all enjoy it! (I was nervous, lol!)

My IMM post
A Beautiful Madness
I really did! I am so excited for Bitterblue and I think I might have to re-read Graceling because it was THAT good, lol! I'll definitely be checking out your IMM right now! Thanks for the lovely comment :)
DeletePS: I totally love this new reply option! haha.
Great vlog! I didn't think you were nervous at all. But I did wonder how on earth you can be in a tanktop in Ontario in the midst of winter. Even if it's inside, haha! I do love your scarf though. I'm starting to be a scarf junkie!!
ReplyDeleteI haven't read Graceling but I've seen a lot of bloggers posting about Bitterblue. From your description it kind of reminds me of the BBC show Merlin in a way? I'm probably way off...
Chopsticks looks really intriguing. I didn't realize it was in that type of format. I really like looking at scrapbooks and as a history major like you, looking at basically an archive of a person's life. I wonder if it will be hard to follow though. I look forward to your review of it!
Oh my house is a sauna! And the room I was in has fantastic insulation, lol but not too worry when I left my house I put on proper Canadian clothing! lol. I am a scarf hoarder! Like seriously if it comes in scarf from I want it, nay NEED it, haha. But thank you it was a christmas present from my mom :)
DeleteI had to think about it but it does remind me of Merlin in a lot of ways (I am obsessed with the TV show, lol) although it is very different as well - If you like Merlin I think you should definitely give Graceling a good shot, the characters will just melt your heart and you'll love them lol. I find that Chopsticks is going to be a challenge for me to read just because I am going to get really distracted with all the different styles of writing the author and illustrator chose, but I still think the sub story of her life basically before she goes interesting will be really fantastic - So I'll let you know once I read it and review it! lol.
Thanks for such a great comment :) I love comments, hehe.
Aww Jackie -- great job!! Getting a bunch of great books from publishers will NEVER get old lol. Once again -- I am SO excited and happy for you! You speak so easily on video! I would have never guessed this was your first one ;). Super excited to read your reviews on them all =).
ReplyDeleteThank you so much Chelsey!! hehe. I absolutely love getting all these books although its a bit overwhelming all at once, there are so many to choose from and I just want to read them all - haha. I thought I was really nervous and rambled a bit, but next time I think I'll be able to get it to under 5 minutes not 8, haha - thanks for sticking it out and watching it all :) Thank you for the lovely comment, you're so sweet! :)
DeleteGreat set! I can't wait to get Everneath. Chopsticks sounds really good too.
ReplyDeleteMy IMM
There have been a lot of mixed emotions with Everneath but so far I am definitely enjoying it so I hope you get around to reading it soon :) Thanks for the great comment and dropping by! I know I've been AWOL for sometime, but I think I have finally scheduled my life so I can get back to blogging and reviewing, lol.
DeleteAww thanks MaryAnn! You seriously do need to read Graceling! If I had a copy I'd send it to you right now just so you can read how amazing this story is! lol. I have not read Fire but I put it on hold at the Library so I am patiently waiting for the person to bring it back lol. Thanks for the great comment :)
