In My Mailbox (17): First Vlog Posting!

"In my Mailbox" is a weekly meme hosted by the fantastic Kristi "the Story Siren". Bloggers are able to post what new books they've received either by buying, borrowing, or on loan from the library throughout the past week.

This pass week (actually pass month!) I have gotten an odd mixture of books ranging from Adult Romance, to Young Adult Mystery. I have recently been offered the position of "Head Blogger" for the RazOrbill Publishing Company's online website and therefore have privy to some amazing titles! This week and next I will be showing you the load they had given me this past Monday when I went to visit them all. One thing I will say it is an EXCELLENT year for Y.A. books :)

So without further adieu I give you my FIRST Video Blog posting. I hope you'll all enjoy it! (I was nervous, lol!)

    1. I really did! I am so excited for Bitterblue and I think I might have to re-read Graceling because it was THAT good, lol! I'll definitely be checking out your IMM right now! Thanks for the lovely comment :)

  2. Great vlog! I didn't think you were nervous at all. But I did wonder how on earth you can be in a tanktop in Ontario in the midst of winter. Even if it's inside, haha! I do love your scarf though. I'm starting to be a scarf junkie!!

I haven't read Graceling but I've seen a lot of bloggers posting about Bitterblue. From your description it kind of reminds me of the BBC show Merlin in a way? I'm probably way off...

Chopsticks looks really intriguing. I didn't realize it was in that type of format. I really like looking at scrapbooks and as a history major like you, looking at basically an archive of a person's life. I wonder if it will be hard to follow though. I look forward to your review of it!

    1. Oh my house is a sauna! And the room I was in has fantastic insulation, lol but not too worry when I left my house I put on proper Canadian clothing! lol. I am a scarf hoarder! Like seriously if it comes in scarf from I want it, nay NEED it, haha. But thank you it was a christmas present from my mom :)

I had to think about it but it does remind me of Merlin in a lot of ways (I am obsessed with the TV show, lol) although it is very different as well - If you like Merlin I think you should definitely give Graceling a good shot, the characters will just melt your heart and you'll love them lol. I find that Chopsticks is going to be a challenge for me to read just because I am going to get really distracted with all the different styles of writing the author and illustrator chose, but I still think the sub story of her life basically before she goes interesting will be really fantastic - So I'll let you know once I read it and review it! lol.

Thanks for such a great comment :) I love comments, hehe.

I absolutely love getting all these books although its a bit overwhelming all at once, there are so many to choose from and I just want to read them all - haha. I thought I was really nervous and rambled a bit, but next time I think I'll be able to get it to under 5 minutes not 8, haha - thanks for sticking it out and watching it all :) Thank you for the lovely comment, you're so sweet! :)
