the Question:

When you've read a book, what do you do with it? (Keep it, give it away, donate it, sell it, swap it..?)

Oh the age old questions my parents seem to ask me every time they see my book obsession - "Why on earth do you keep buying books?!" Well here is the thing, I have a problem - a book hoarding obsession, lol. I have to own as many books as possible and even different versions of the same books! Its a type of art for me, I just love all the pretty covers, and the spines when they're facing out from the book shelves, I cannot help myself! lol. So I am definitely a keeper of books (more like a hoarder of books, lol)! I will let my friends borrow my books, but there are rules still such as, if you are borrowing a hardcover you don't get the sleeve cover (I don't want them to bend or get ripped or anything, lol) and if you loose the book unfortunately I will need it to be replaced (BUT! That rarely happens! lol - only happened once) ... So at least my obsession is a healthy one! haha.

  2. I'm the total opposite - I get most of my books from the library and keep only my favorites - although getting an eReader might change that.

  4. If somebody asked me why I keep buying books, I think I'd laugh until I realized they were being serious. Why would I want to stop?!

  9. Hi New Follower I don't think of myself as a hoarder although my TBR pile has grown quite menacing and my shelves are double deep with books. Thank goodness I can now sweep most books under the Kindle rug!
With your blog name I was thinking that perhaps you were an Anita Blake fan, I have reviews up for Flirt tonight, Bullet and Hit List tomorrow. Hop on by... Fangs, Wands and Fairy Dust

  10. I am a hoarder (a proud one actually...shhh!). I donated books a very long time ago, but I haven't done it since. I just hold on to them, often times knowing I will never read it again :-( I need to get better...maybe! LOL

New follower from the hop. Your blog is absolutely delightful!
