My Book Boyfriend (4): Jericho Z. Barrons

"Boys in books are just better. Right? lol" ... The meme, Book Boyfriend is brought to us by the fabulous author of "The Unread Reader" Missie. This meme is just for fun! Likeness represented are all fictional fantasies. This meme happens every Wednesday although it is open to "link up" from Wednesday to Wednesday. I'm earning my bragging rights for this weeks Boyfriend, how about you? ENJOY!

So this week my internet cut out on my around 2PM yesterday (Wednesday) and of course I was just putting the finishing touches on my posting! So I am sorry it is late but here is my decadent choice of the week!

Jericho Barrons: Karen Marie Moning has created such a master piece within this weeks choice of "My Book Boyfriend". Jericho Barrons, need I say more? His name just rolls of your tongue. Now bare with me all you Barron fans out there I have only just recently got to the third book in the series but from the first time I laid eye's on him in Darkfever, I fell ... hard! Carnal, sexual and impressionable is how he is first described by Mac (or Ms. Lane as he calls her). He doesn't just occupy space, he invades it. He is about six foot two, dark hair, golden skin, and dark alluring eyes; broad build but lean, hard lines and chiseled features. At first to Mac he looks about 30 but as I continue reading throughout the first and second book, I seem to be drawing the conclusion he is not all human, nor is he a mere 30 either. That being said, he has an air of ancient cultured civilization, not Irish at all, but European. He is proper with the way he dresses, the way he speaks, and the way he addresses people, especially Mac, he calls her Ms. Lane; although on those rare occasions he says her name, he shows raw, passionate emotion - when he feels he feels the emotions fully, he is a carnal, passionate, and lustful man; knows what he wants, and gets what he wants ... always. His personality is hard to connect with because he does not show full emotion, except on those rare occasions, and if you're not paying attention than you miss it all together. Jericho is a rich and decadent individual; he has rich tastes in clothing, cars, and women and he makes certain his acquaintances know it. If you are indeed looking for a man that takes charge in all aspects of his life, especially in the bedroom, than Jericho Barrons was created for you. At first that carnal, hard, sex appeal may frighten you, but once he lays his eye's on you, you won't be able to get enough.

Stats:

  • Six foot two; about 30 in age
  • Dark hair; golden skin; dark alluring eyes
  • Strong, chiseled features
  • Intense personality
  • Carnal, sexual, dangerous
  • Protective
  • Not human; Unseelie Fae?
    • Sihde-Seer due to the fact he isn't all human.
  • Guarded emotions; but sexual prowess rolls off him
NOTES: The actor I have chosen is not entirely based on just a physical comparison. Ian Somerhalder is perfect due to the personality and persona he is able to hold in his roles (IE: Daemon, Vampire Diaries). Based on just that he is absolutely perfect in my mind, but it doesn't hurt he is drop dead sexy and knows how to wear a suit!

Quotes:

Jericho Barrons: “Four: If you try to force yourself into my head, I will force myself into your pants.”
"Dreamfever"

AHAHA! I absolutely love this quote! - Found it on goodreads.com (Yes I cheated a bit, lol)

Jerricho Barrons: “Stop staring at my dick," he growled.
Mac Lane: Oh, yes it was definitely an illusion. "Barrons loved me staring at his dick,"I informed it. "he would have been happy if I'd stared at his dick all day long, composing odes to its perfection.”
"Shadowfever"

Mac Lane: “If he’d been any other man and i'd been any other girl, I’d have called the narrowing of his heavy-lidded dark eyes lust. But he was Barrons and I was Mac, and a blossoming of lust was about as likely as orchids blooming in Antarctica” (this is as romantic as it gets sometimes with these two)
"Bloodfever"

Mac Lane: “I heard there are no male sidhe-seers."
Jericho Barrons: "Where did you hear that?"
Mac: "Around."
Barrons: "And which one of those are you in doubt about Ms. Lane?"
Mac: "Which one of what?"
Barrons: "Whether I see the Fae, or whether I'm a man. I believe I've laid your mind to rest on the former;
shall I relieve it on the latter?" He reached for his belt.
Mac: "Oh, please." I rolled my eyes. "You're a leftie, Barrons."
Barrons: "Touche, Ms. Lane," he murmered.”
"Bloodfever"

I just could NOT resist putting this quote in:

Jerricho Barrons: “We're translating the Kama Sutra," Barrons said, "with interactive aids.”

  1. Jericho Barrons....a masterpiece indeed! He's the most remarkable male of fiction I've ever read about. I can't wait to see the movie version of him.

Ian would be a great Barrons, though I think he would need to beef up just a little. LOL

Thanks for those quotes. Brings back good memories.
